Let There Be Rock

Drive-By Truckers

I made the short road trip from Atlanta to Athens on Saturday night to see one of my favorite bands, The Drive-By Truckers. They played at the fabulous 40 Watt downtown and the show was awesome. This was the last night of a three night stand to celebrate the re-release of the Truckers' first two albums, Gangstabilly and Pizza Deliverance. It was especially cool to hear the Truckers play Pizza Deliverance in its entirety. I only wish that I had been there Friday when they did the same for Gangstabilly. Thank God for BitTorrents. Click here to see a bunch of pictures I took at the show. The profits from the concerts were donated to Nuci's Space, along with an additional $5000 from Pabst Brewing Company. That guy with the huge check is my friend Will Kiser, who works at Nuci's.

I think Saturday was the best DBT show I've ever seen - the energy was incredible. How about Bulldozers & Dirt? Incredible. I wish Wild HahBah could have seen it.
