His Computer Wears Pumas

25531232_71757ca840_t.jpgMy good friend Clunky Robot is directing a play at Dad's Garage entitled "The Computer Wore Flat-Soled Pumas"... It is an improvised play and there are only three days left to see it (Thursday-Saturday)! If you live in Atlanta, I highly recommend it. It even got some coverage in the newspaper. I will be going on Thursday. Hope to see you there.

Shark Week

sharkweek.jpg

Once again, it's Shark Week on the Discovery Channel. Last night I watched the Mythbusters shark week special. It was really great. The episodes theme was myths from Jaws. The best part was when they shot a scuba tank with a rifle to see if it would explode. It didn't, but it did fly around their testing container like a rocket as the compressed air hissed out of it. In the end, they blew it up anyway with some C4 from the FBI. There are three more new shark specials this week, as well as a repeat of the Mythbusters special on Wednesday.

In other Discovery Channel news, they are going to broadcast live updates from a Montana dinosaur dig every day for two weeks this summer. I can't find anything about it on the official Discovery Channel site, but this news story seems to have all the info.

"I don't like SPAM!"

no_spam.gifLately, I've been getting tons of comment and trackback spam. I guess that mean's I've really "arrived" on the blog scene. Anyway, I am trying to keep it all moderated and deleted thanks to MT-Blacklist, but if you see links to "mature sex pics" or "cheap vi@gr@" just be aware that I certainly didn't put them there.

Obey Giant in Prime Time

familyguy.jpgI'm a big fan of Shepard Fairey, of Obey Giant fame. Looks like Seth MacFarlane, of Family Guy fame, is a big fan too... Also, check out these pictures of Shepard(?) bombing various city blocks. [pics via thecobrasnake]

Dear Bill Cosby's Lawyers...

Channel 101 has posted an open letter from Dan Harmon, the site administrator. The letter is in response to Bill Cosby's lawyers and their cease and desist letter. Basically, it says that Channel 101 will continue to host the first four episodes of House of Cosbys, and if Bill Cosby's legal team wants to pursue legal action, go ahead. Bravo to Dan, Comic Sacrifice and the rest of the Channel 101 team.
