New artwork

newart.jpg

I have been doing quite a bit of freelance work over the last month. If you check out my artwork section, you can find 6 new illustrations. I will have a new animation added by the end of this week as well (I hope!)

James Hugh Potts II, Trial Lawyer

billboard_web.jpg

If you live in the Athens, GA or visit there regularly (as I do), then you may be familiar with James Hugh Potts II, trial lawyer. Potts's giant smiling face is featured on a billboard near Vision Video on West Broad Street.

Flagpole called him a "rock-and-roll lawyer", but with his sly grin and long hair, I'd say he mildly resembles a magician.

And while JHPII is no magician, he is, in fact, an "Every Day Warrior." You can be one too! Just head over to jhpii.com and request your FREE "Every Day Warrior" t-shirt. I did, and it's a decision I won't soon regret!

Did I mention it is FREE?!

My t-shirt arrived today, along with a special bonus: autographed packaging from the man himself! Check out my pics below.

Dog Wedding Crasher

This is the funniest thing I've seen all week...

Cohen, 33, in trunks, leather jacket and Village People-style cap, emerged from the surf on an inflatable turtle.

American Idiots

Green Day @ Phillips Arena

I went to see Green Day last night. The show was at Phillips Arena, so I wasn't that excited. The only other show I'd ever seen there (Pearl Jam) wasn't that great, because our seats were terrible. However, last night, I was on the floor, very close to the action. I have seen Green Day several times before, but after last night, I have a new found respect for them. They were incredible. The 10 minute "Jesus of Suburbia" was a one of the show's many highlights. Check out my flickr set for some photos I took of the show.

Octopus vs. Shark

It's the fight of the century, and it doesn't exactly end the way you'd think it would... Speaking of tentacled invertebrates, I believe that this is the pinnacle of human artistic achievement.

Busy busy busy!

Sorry for the lack of entries lately. I have been really busy with some freelance work, the results of which you will all soon see...

Street Art on the West Bank

banksytwogal-toe.jpgSo last night I stumbled across this site, linked by one of my favorite street artists. After reading this guy's essay about how street artists need to be more innovative and "push things forward" I was left with one question... "HOW?" Banksy has the answer.
