House of Cosbys Strikes Back

Blogger Andy Baio, who had been hosting the Channel 101 series House of Cosbys for several months, recently received a Cease and Desist order from Bill Cosby's team of lawyers. Unlike Channel 101's ISP, Andy has decided to stand up for his rights and not back down from the legal threats. Andy says:

...I'm not removing House of Cosbys. House of Cosbys is parody, and clearly falls under fair use guidelines. I'm not taking it down, and their legal bullying isn't going to work. They claim that hosting these videos "violates our client's rights... Sorry, but the First Amendment protects satire and parody of a public figure as free speech.
In addition to hosting the HOC episodes, Andy is also linking to mirrors and gathering examples of Bill Cosby parodies in the mainstream media to show how these types of C&D orders are prejudiced agains amateur artists. The New York Times has an article about it too.
